Assistant TECHNICIAN
Pay Range: 20-26/hr
MAKAN YACHT GROUP is searching for an assistant technician to work on Yachts in Marina del Rey and surrounding Marinas. Tell us about your interest within the Maritime industry and/or any interest/education in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, home repair, or diesel engines

•Requires the ability to be able to get on and off vessels with ease
•Must want to pursue a career within the Marine industry
•Must be able to lift 50 lbs
•Possess High School Diploma
•Current Driver License required
•U S Citizenship
•Must pass pre-employment background check
•Strong communication skills
•Fast learner

Responsibilities
- Assist in lifting, and holding materials and tools, and cleaning working areas
- Utilize knowledge of power and hand tools
- Employ knowledge with marine diesel inboard/outboard marine engines Assist in diagnosing marine engine malfunctions and help effect repairs to restore equipment to an operating condition
- Assist in purchasing required parts and/or supplies
- Assist in any needed repairs on vessels: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc
- Be able to summarize tasks preformed within time tracking system
