Assistant TECHNICIAN
Pay Range: 20-23/hr
MAKAN YACHT GROUP is searching for an assistant technician to work on Yachts in Marina del Rey and the surrounding Marinas. Tell us about your interest within the Maritime industry and/or any interest/education in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, home repair, or diesel engines

•Requires the ability to be able to get on and off vessels with ease
•Must want to pursue a career within the Marine industry
•Must be able to lift 50 lbs
•Possess High School Diploma
•Current Driver License required
•Authorized to work in the USA
•Must pass pre-employment background check
•Must be able to swim
•Strong communication skills
•Fast learner

Responsibilities
- Assist in lifting, holding materials and tools, and cleaning working areas
- Utilize knowledge of power and hand tools
- Employ knowledge with marine diesel inboard/outboard marine engines. Assist in diagnosing marine engine malfunctions and help effect repairs to restore equipment to an operating condition
- Assist in purchasing required parts and/or supplies
- Assist in any needed repairs on vessels: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc
- Be able to summarize tasks performed within time tracking system
